Empire Marina Bobbin Head is privately owned by two Aussie families that just love boating. Everything we do is considered from the boaters perspective. We believe that is just one of reasons that this marina is so personable, friendly and cared for. It is a marina where everyone is welcome, where a great coffee overlooking the water is a must, and where boat owners become friends. There are, however many sides to this marina, do not mistake our friendly approach as a casual one. Far from it, the market leading standards of excellence at this marina has been rewarded with multiple awards of Australian Marina of the Year, Hall of Fame status and the first marina in Australia to achieve 5 Gold Anchor Platinum, which at the time made us one of only 3 in the world. Our customers return again and again for the quality of work and service we offer. Visitors not used to our high standards, have frequently commented on the friendliness yet extensive professional knowledge of our team, the delightful scent of the reception and how wonderful it is to be in such a quiet and spotlessly clean environment.

Our marina has 200 berths and 10 swing moorings set on a floating marina with power and water at each berth. Wide fairways and the wide wooded hills around the marina create shelter from the prevailing winds, make berthing much easier than many other marinas. Fuel and Ice are also available along with a bottle shop. The marina has a security staff member physically on the premises overnight, and an extensive car park for clients of the marina. There is a café open 7 days a week that serves great coffee and food easy to take onto your boat, or perhaps enjoy in the seated area overlooking the water.

The idyllic location within a National Park, but so close to Sydney, and indeed within the North Shore, makes berthing your boat here feel like an incredible escape from the stress of modern life. There is no passing traffic on the water, and as a result you can enjoy a peaceful nights sleep with no wave disturbance when staying on your boat overnight. Furthermore, waking to the sounds of the birds, the mist on the water and the sunrise above the hills is quietly spectacular.

At Empire Marina Bobbin Head we believe we are more than just a place to park your boat. We are a community. A community of boat owners, team members and guests that become friends. The marina arranges monthly BBQ’s during daylight saving and operates the Empire Gals Club, a club especially for the ladies to engage them further in boating with education and social events. Our themed marina parties have gained legendary status. Your boating enjoyment can involve as little or as much of our social interaction as you wish. Many long-term friendships exist at this marina, but all newcomers are welcomed with open arms.

Our team are mature, highly experienced, and very much part of the marina family. They are here to make your boating lifestyle easier, more informed and the best it can be. From our antifoul service to our boat brokerage, from our boat insurance services to our on-site mechanics, shipwrights, painters, trimmers, detailers and electricians, every care needed for your boat is just a moment away. Even though many of these are separate businesses, we always aim to work as a team making your boat care easier. Contractors can access your boat in your absence when needed, to allow maintenance to occur seamlessly, and when needed. Advice is always at hand, knowledge is extensive, growth on your hull is slow and the pristine air often sees our clients not needing to wash their boats nearly as often as at other marinas.

The waterways accessible from this marina include Cowan Creek, Broken Bay, Pittwater, the Hawkesbury and of course a quick trip around Palm Beach can take you down to Sydney in less than a couple of hours. You really can have the best of both worlds. Your boat is located in a quiet restful marina, but you have access to Sydney Harbour if you wish. Many of our boaters rarely venture that far though, as the attraction of the peaceful bays in Smiths Creek, the social scene of Refuge Bay or the destinations of Cottage Point Inn or Peat’s Bite are just too alluring.
